We're continuing to take a strong dose of our own medicine - remodeling our personal kitchen!  The unfinished cabinets are in and prepared, and adjustments are being made to drawers and drawers.  We've just finished installing trim and other details too.  Our Project Manager is attending to the numerous details, and we'll be completing the painting and faux finishing of the cabinetry onsite shortly.  Afterwards, the countertops and splash are installed, and things will really start to take shape.  No, it's not always fun pretending the Dining Room is actually the Kitchen, but we're doing fine - and getting closer to being done!

We've complete some enjoyable shopping excursions to select finishes too; pictures show our visit to The Gallery - our local granite slab supplier and tile backsplash retailer.  The options are sometimes overwhelming - most of our clients need help and at least some guidance (and we did too!).

With remodeling, you always run into surprises.  Shown in one of the pictures is a non-code approved wire splice hidden in the ceiling.  We've corrected that and other issues, and brought everything up to code and current safety standards.  With old home wiring, you really DO have to be careful!

Thanks (Lyon Construction+Design)! Your Project Manager did an excellent job. I appreciate the way he stayed on the job until he finished. He is a very well organized man - a real pro!
