Tidbits
Not only
have we been busy reconstructing our website
(come see - www.lyonbuilt.com), but we've
also been working on the Lyon family kitchen
too.
Funny what you find in the old
walls - here's a picture showing the outline of an
old exhaust hood that was hidden behind an upper
cabinet after a remodel more than 3 decades
back.

Tips
Important! This time of year, don't
forget to take measures to protect your pipes
from freezing! If you know you have
vulnerable pipes in one area of your home, leave
the faucet on overnight with a very slight
dripping to keep the water from freezing in the
line and help prevent a costly repair the next
day.
With record cold temperatures AND
wind on the way, be careful and take
precautions. You might also find and turn
off the shut-off valves to your outside faucets
(hose-bibs)
too.

Recent
Projects
At a current project, we're pictured here
installing a bio-based 'green' spray-foam
insulation. With outstanding R-value and
air-blocking properties, this foam insulation
will keep our Client's recent addition toasty
and warm in these cold winter months...
Although the cost is a bit more than typical
fiberglass batt insulation, the payback period
is relatively short - and the insulation
material qualifies for the Energy Tax
Credit!
